How to Write a Task That Gets Good Offers

The same job can get two offers or twelve — the difference is in how the task is written. A clear task saves everyone time and attracts strong providers.

Title: short and to the point

Good: "Replace the kitchen tap", "Deep clean a 3-room apartment". Bad: "Need help", "Urgent!!!". Providers decide in a second, by the title alone, whether to open your task.

Description: answer the questions in advance

  • What exactly needs doing and how much of it.
  • Any specifics: old pipes, pets at home, no elevator.
  • What is already there: materials bought? should the provider bring tools?

The fewer questions a provider is left with, the faster and more accurate the offers.

Photos: the best way to explain

A couple of photos replaces a paragraph of description. Photograph the work area: the dripping tap, the room to clean, the furniture to assemble. Tasks with photos get noticeably more offers.

Budget: an honest reference

State a realistic range or choose "open to offers". An understated budget scares off experienced providers — an inflated one leads to overpaying. Not sure about prices? Check similar tasks or our benchmark articles.

Timing: whenever suits you

"Flexible" widens the circle of offers — "urgent" narrows it but speeds things up. If the date matters, state it upfront so you do not waste time on providers who cannot make it.

After publishing

Answer clarifying questions and do not delay your choice: strong providers get booked fast. Once you choose, contacts unlock automatically — from there, agree directly.
